In this podcast, Jenny and Dara sit down with Jennifer and Corey Feist, the founders of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation.

Dr. Lorna Breen was one of us. On April 26, 2020, she died by suicide.  In a period of three weeks this spring, Lorna treated confirmed COVID patients, contracted COVID herself, and returned to an overwhelming, relentless number of incredibly sick patients. 

In response to her death the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation was formed by her family.  The Foundation’s mission is to reduce burn out of health care professionals and safeguard their wellbeing and job satisfaction. 

We envision a world where seeking mental health services is universally viewed as a sign of strength for health care professionals.

The Foundation has begun its work focusing on awareness and has already touched over 65 million people. As a continuation of this awareness, we will be dedicating the FIX20 conference to our friend and colleague, Dr. Lorna Breen.
