Our fifth conversation in the series. Dr. Nana A. Y. Twum-Danso is a public health and preventive medicine physician and a social entrepreneur based in Accra, Ghana.

Nana is the founder and CEO of MAZA.  The mission of MAZA is to provide timely access to health care in rural Ghana. Her previous positions include: Senior program officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Project Fives Alive!, a nationwide quality improvement initiative to reduce child mortality in Ghana.

Nana received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and medical education from Harvard Medical School.  She completed her public health and preventive medicine training at Emory University in Atlanta GA.  She completed one year of emergency medicine residency at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency in Boston, MA.  And this serves as a basis for her organizational behavior and management.
