Today’s pod has been a long time coming.  Dara is joined by FemInEM’s investigative journalism team Dr. Clare Johnson and Dr. Bree Jacobs.  The Jacobs/Johnson team spent the last few months parsing out the parental leave programs for the major employers of emergency doctors.  In this pod they review the case for parental leave program and discuss individual programs for both employees and independent contractor physicians.

Their results can be found here at on their accompanying FemInEM blog post.

These are previous posts on parental care from Vituity and USACS.

“On this podcast, it was incorrectly stated that the USACS policy includes 12 weeks of parental leave for the non-primary parent. It should be corrected to state that USACS includes 2 weeks of parental leave for the non-primary parent.”
